Effective for grades 3 and up, the Jumping Joey’s Number Line Multiplication and Division Book uses a Number Line approach to help students learn multiplication and division concepts, including remainders. As a multi-purpose tool, the Multiplication and Division Book effectively provides an experiential alternative to mere memorization of facts. Students can use the book to work through numerical and word problems on their own to build long-term understanding.
How Do the Multiplication and Division Books Work?
The Multiplication and Division Book makes use of the same Number Line concept as other Jumping Joey products to help children solve basic and advanced mathematical problems in multiplication and division, including factors and divisors up to 12. Students work through existing curricula from school or other sources, or utilize the specially created numerical and operations dice to create a multitude of problems. A dynamic game for working on division with remainders is also included. In an easy-to-use manner, students are able to experience the relationships between number facts and can internalize the Number Line process to build mastery of concepts and promote achievement.
Jumping Joey’s Number Line correlates with many National Council of Teacher of Mathematics (NCTM) Standards to benefit student learning.
